Just Another Choice Selected.
The news is like reading your horoscope. There is no reason to let it ruin your day so why not take it in at the end of the day when it can do no damage.
Becoming aware of the tumultuous doings of the day in the middle evening can not possibly effect what you were doing or suppose to be doing at quarter past three, and whether your horosocope bore any type of prescient cosmological fruit can be most readily established after you have the entire day to look back upon. I've heard some say that such an approach is just cynical, but pragmatism often has a note of cynicism about it.
To this end I have completely rid myself of any and all social media. Any and all social media except for Grindr, Scruff, Bro, Manhunter, ReCode, you get the point. I am only keeping the important shit that usually results in things it would not be polite to go into here.
What I will not do is flick through another set of unique once in a lifetime family photos of visits to the Magic Kingdom or the Tower of London. Nor will I peer into the Twitter comments every time some soft-headed ninny loses their senses over Trump's last tweet. I simply lack the energy to go on with it, but I applaud those that do have the energy. Heroes to the last.
