I really hate being behind the curve. But I was listening to The Strand yesterday on my newest Iphone app and learned about this provocative artist Maurizio Cattelan and his recent work The Finger which some say is "giving the finger" to the financial heavies of Italy. "Giving the finger" is an expression the meaning of which eludes most Brits. There is talk of letting the 31 foot high marble sculpture stay longer than October 3rd when it was originally scheduled to come down. I think they should keep it. I shared on facebook.
