The Yankees just swept the Red Sox and we are quite over the moon about it. Today's game was a wee bit interesting. Derek went 4 for 4 and scored a run in the bottom of the eighth all the way from first base.

Terry Francona got himself ejected for acting like an ass. He's such an ass. I suppose he thinks his players should be allowed to cheat. Kevin Youkilis was running to third, RoRo caught the ball and tried to tag Youkilis, but the fucker I shit you not chasse'd out of the baseline and RoRo had to throw to first. Initially the umpires missed it, but once they checked their rulebooks they called Youkilis out. Quite right.

And poor Joba Chamberlain was ejected from the game after losing control of two pitches in oddly the same manner. It was bizarre, but the umpire (Angel Hernandez) seems to take pride in making weird ejections. Like a guest singer and an organ player. WTF? That guy just needs to go. And should have gone back in 1999, but back door favors you know.

The Yanks officially lead the wild card by half a game, but the Mariners play tonight so we'll have to wait to see if they can hold on to the lead til tomorrow. And although Seattle is our home, and we have good friends there we will not countenance the Mariners beating out our Yankees for the wild card.
