Basketball is perhaps the stupidest game in the world. I believe I agree with Noam Chomsky in that sports, generally, train people in irrational attitudes towards submission to authority, and group cohesion behind authority figures. "Jingoism" is the word I believe he uses.
If people are trained by their schools and communities to get behind a banner, and scream and froth, and pound their chests, then when the time comes to, say, invade a country, the entire populace has already been trained in a cohesive group response. Go Cougs! Cal State Volleyball Rocks Your Ass Upside Down and Sideways!!!! Yeah!!! USA USA USA USA!!!!, and my own personal favorite "America! Fuck Yeah!"
Well, as most of you know, Gonz lost last night to UCLA. Apparently they lost while I was in the bathroom washing my face. First things first is what Dan likes to say. Gonz blows a kagillion point lead, but at least my face is clean.
One thing you gotta give to UCLA. They sure know how to beat up diabetics.

MM is the best, fuck the rest. fuck music... back to. sports..lawn bowling, archery, ..oh, those are all individual sports. maybe its team sports. maybe that was your point. im not sure anymore. but the one point is. its the people and mcdonalds too. i think that the ground beef has horse meat in it. and whats even worse is that i think the fda allows for that.

Your point is prosaic and rambling. The claim is not that sports is at fault, the point relates to group cohesion behind organizations. Therefore your point about individual affinity towards pop stars is equally irrelevant. Additionally, the argument does not depend upon us "being out of our minds", quite the contrary. Just because you say it doesn't make it true. Additionally it ignores the group cohesion element present in sports.
The rest of your comment makes very little sense. Save this. Ground beef, like all mechanically separated meat contains fecal matter. The FDA, under Bush more than ever, allows for this. And no, buying organic or free range doesn't change the fact. Carnivores are by their very nature shit eaters. Bon Apetit.
And, no MM is quite certainly not the best.
